Resumen

Aedes aegypti es el principal vector de arbovirus como el Dengue. Actualmente, las estrategias para disminuir la población vectorial se basan en el uso de insecticidas como los organofosforados, organoclorados, carbamatos y piretroides los cuales han contribuido a disminuir la población vectorial, sin embargo, A. aegypti ha desarrollado resistencia a compuestos como la permetrina y la deltametrina la cual se ha asociado con la presencia de polimorfismos (SNP) en el gen del canal de sodio dependiente de voltaje (VGSC), conocidos como mutaciones kdr, las cuales bloquean la acción de los piretroides en el canal de sodio. En este estudio se genotipificaron las mutaciones kdr L982W, S989P, A1007G e I1011M/V, mediante secuenciación. Los resultados muestran que la población de A. aegypti analizada presenta un genotipo silvestre para las mutaciones mencionadas, sugiriendo que en nuestra población debe haber otras mutaciones kdr en distintos dominios que estén confiriendo resistencia a A. aegypti.
