Abstract

This work presented a bibliometric analysis combined with a literature review on social inclusion through sports strategies and interventions focusing on boxing. The main objective was to determine the effectiveness of programs implemented in vulnerable populations, evaluating the relationship between sport and the betterment of social opportunities. The bibliometric method was employed used, supported by the programs Microsoft Excel, VOSviewer, and Bibliometrix for quantitative analysis of academic publications from the Google Scholar Bibliographic Scientific Index, prioritizing open-access national and international studies. Twenty publications were analyzed with the bibliometric method based on the inclusion criteria, analyzing variables such as inclusion, inequality, and intervention strategies on boxing. The results showed that the most successful programs share characteristics such as cultural adaptation, personal development, and institutional collaboration. Boxing is evidenced as an effective tool to promote inclusion, especially among youth at risk of social exclusion. It concluded that the combination of literature review and bibliometric analysis allowed the identification of patterns and best practices, providing a foundation to strengthen future strategies in sports management. Furthermore, it highlighted the need for institutional support and public policies to achieve a sustained impact. This work offered a systematic approach that contributed to the understanding of boxing as a means of social change.
